The German Golf Association has set 1 April 2016 as the deadline for the new rules to come into force so that all German golf clubs can have a compliant version by this date. This also means that with the new „PC CADDIE 2016a“ version, all competition and handicap calculations will still be carried out in accordance with the „old“ rules up to and including 31 March.

With the extension of the EGA handicap system up to handicap class 6 (which means there are no longer any club handicaps), it is becoming important again in Germany to enter the course handicap. Entering the course handicap is important again.

• The handicap status active/not active is omitted completely.

• From 2016, it will be possible to specify for tournament registration instead, which minimum number of HCP-effective results a player must have in his must have in order to be entitled to the net prizes. • For the Intranet guest player check, however, the number of rounds played is not provided via the intranet (for data protection reasons). Guests are automatically set in the betting game to Out of competition in the net. After submission of the master sheet by the guest, the guest's result should be changed to Hole results so that the guest also receives his net prize on the result list.

In future, players and courses will be checked automatically at the latest when the scorecards are printed.

The window for the result entry has been extended. You can directly see the slope and CR value of the tee shot for the player and you can enter penalty strokes for the round.

As of 2016, the differences in the handicap handicap systems of the countries are so different that on results lists the new handicaps of players with a foreign home club can no longer be displayed on results lists.
In particular, there are countries that still determine a CBA and in other countries the CBA has been completely abolished. CBA values are therefore no longer transmitted via the international interface (intranet between the countries).
In some countries, handicap classes 4 and 5 are no longer raised, and other countries only no longer raise handicap class 5. Due to these differences, the results of players with foreign home clubs are transmitted via the intranet (as far as possible between the countries), but the player with a foreign home club should ask his home club which handicap results from this!

• Also tournaments that are not handicap tournaments - single should now also be tournament conclusion to the intranet.
• You will therefore be reminded (as with tournaments with a handicap) reminded of the tournament conclusion for 30 days.
• Tournaments that are not handicap-effective (singles only) are closed with the tournament closing selection not handicap effective with the tournament completion selection.

If a club exports the tournament to another club after the 1st round, for example, and this club imports the tournament in order to play a 2nd round, the club that plays the 2nd round becomes the tournament master with regard to INTRANET.
If the club that handled the 1st round wants to transfer data from this competition to the intranet again after the transfer to the 2nd club, it receives a „warning“ that the 2nd club is the „master“ and must therefore at least be informed.

You now have the option of activating a activate a new rating for the course within 14 days of receiving the rating. This has the advantage that you can still complete current tournaments with the „old course data“.

• Previously, the counter had to have a handicap of up to 36.0. Due to the fact that the EGA requirements have been extended up to handicap 54, a counter up to HCP 54 is also permitted (unless the club states otherwise in the EDS entry). This is also possible in the EDS check function.
  
• The 36.0 handicap no longer needs to be achieved in the tournament, as there are no longer any club handicaps (37-54). The first EGA handicap is already achieved with a handicap of 54.

• With the EDS result entry penalty strokes for the round can now also be entered:

The handicap status „active/not active“ has been cancelled without replacement. The display in PC CADDIE will be completely removed from 1 April 2016.

The calculation of the CBA (Computed Buffer Adjustment) at the end of the tournament will be completely cancelled in Germany. According to the regulations, tournament results from abroad will be counted without taking the CBA into account!

The Loading the master sheet from the intranet has been added for new members. The list of entries is now displayed before they are finally loaded into the master data sheet.

From 1 April 2016, the appearance of the master data sheets has changed. The column for CBA has been removed; instead, there is a column with the rating values (slope/CR) of the discount, for example.

The EGA handicap system is extended. The club handicaps 37 - 54 will become EGA handicap class 6

The annual review of handicaps (AHR) remains in place with modified calculations and regulations.
