====== Player of the year ======

Since the introduction of the World Handicap System (WHS), the scoring records have been calculated by the golf associations.
In Switzerland, the handicap history sheet from SwissGolf is loaded into the local Pcc, so an evaluation can also be made here.\\
This is not possible in most countries, as the associations do not make the handicap history sheets available for loading into Pcc. 

Via the function **//Handicaps/Player of the year//** Pcc offers the possibility to analyse the handicaps. The handicap improvements of a year can be displayed in absolute and percentage figures, whereby both person filters and handicap categorisation are freely definable. 

The evaluation can be precisely defined using the various parameters:

  * The parameter **//year//** determines the year for which the evaluation is to be carried out.
  * **//Only these persons//** enables a freely selectable person filter.
  * About **//Handicap (start of year)//** the desired handicap class can be set.
  * The **//Number of placings//** determines how many results are displayed.
  * **//Sorting//** enables sorting by percentage or absolute.
  * With the button **//Changes only//** button, only the persons with a handicap change are printed.
  * The special parameter **//SHOW_FIRSTENTRY//** ensures that the first entries are taken into account. If it is not set, these are only analysed if they are handicap committee entries or competition results.


:!: The difference between player of the year (Rookie of the year) and the round statistics [[en:handicaps:drucken:rundenstatistik|round statistics]] is that the player of the year can only be the winner of the preset handicap class. His improvement is therefore recognised in the group he was in at the start of the year.

Using Mirko Kurze as an example, you can see that he was the winner of the year in the 37 to 54 handicap category. His handicap at the end of the year is 15.4, which means that he is not in the 0 to 36 price category.
